I am not going to tell you the number of days you need to explore Mussoorie as it has a lot to offer that your entire life will fall short. 

By Car: You can self-drive the car to Mussorie. Road condition is very good till Mussorie. It is also known as “Queen of Hills” located just 35 km from Dehradun. 

By Train:  Dehradun is the nearest railway station to Mussoorie. Mussoorie is located at a distance of 36 km from Dehradun railway station. You will get a train for Dehradun from all major cities. Otherwise, you can first go to Delhi and take the train to Dehradun from Delhi.

By Air: Jollygrant airport is the nearest airport to reach Mussorie by air. Direct flights are available from Delhi & Mumbai. Otherwise, you can go to Delhi airport and from there you can either book your flight or hire a taxi for Mussoorie.

Kempty Falls

Mussoorie trip is not complete until you go to Kempty fall. It is located at a distance of 14 km from Library chowk. It is one of the most beautiful and visited waterfalls in Uttarakhand.

You can either take the ropeway to reach there or take the stairs. The ropeway will cost you Rs. 120 from both sides

If you are planning to go there in summer, then carry a pair of clothes to enjoy your bath in Kempty falls. 

Kempty fall attracts tourists from all over the country. 

Timings: 10 AM to 6 PM

Mall Road

Mall Road starts from Library Chowk and ends at picture palace which is approximately 2 km long. 

Mall road is famous for its photography and scenic view. You will find all the famous hotels & restaurants on Mall road only. 

You can take a walk on Mall road with your friends and family. Buy anything from Mall road as a memory. You can also enjoy dinner at Mall road.

Mussoorie Lake

Mussoorie Lake

Mussoorie lake is located on the Dehradun-Mussorie highway at a distance of 6 km from Library chowk. This tourist spot is developed by the Mussoorie Lake city board. 

You can enjoy boating on the lake. After boating, you can visit haunted house and do some shopping. 

Besides this, Mussoorie Lake also offers numerous activities such as Paragliding, KTV rides, Zip line, Skywalk etc.

Entry Fee: INR 12/person

Timings: 8 AM to 7 PM

Bhatta Falls

Bhatta Falls is located at a distance of approx 13 km from Library chowk. It will take around half an hour to reach their by car.

Bhatta Falls is a recently developed picnic spot located near Mussoorie. It’s a very popular tourist attraction among the tourists.

If you love trekking then it’s a perfect destination for you. You can trek for a few km to reach Bhatta Falls. Alternatively, you can take the ropeway to reach there. Carry a pair of cloth to enjoy a bath under the waterfall. 

Timings: 8 AM to 5 PM

Entry fee: There is no entry fee. You only need to pay for the ropeway.

Jwala Devi Mandir

Jwala Devi Mandir is located at a distance of 8 km from library chowk. You can reach there in 20-25 minutes by car. 

Jwala Devi Mandir is as old as Maa Vaisho Devi mandir. You can also find the description of this mandir in The Mahabharat. 

Timings: 5 AM to 12 PM in the morning and 4 PM to 8 PM in the evening

Fee: There is no entry fee to visit this temple

Lal Tibba

Lal Tibba is located approximately at a distance of 8 km from Library chowk. It will approx half an hour to reach there. 

The literal meaning of Lal Tibba is Lal Pahad (Red hill). It is the highest point of the Mussorie and one of the most famous scenic points among the tourist.

If you love photography then this is a must-visit place for you.

You can see the entire range of Himalayan mountain from the Lal Tibba scenic point. 

There is a telescope to have a closer look at the Himalayan mountains.

You can also enjoy trekking and horse riding at Lal Tibba along the enjoying the food at the cafe located there. 

1 hour will be sufficient to explore this place.

Christ Church

Christ church is located at a distance of 600 meters from Library chowk. This is the first catholic church of the entire Himalayan range.

Christ church was built in 1836 by the British community.

You can club your Mall road and christ church visit as both are not far away from each other.

Timings: 7 AM to 6:30 PM from Monday to Saturday

8 AM to 6:30 PM on Sunday

Camel Back Road

Camel Back Road is located at a distance of 3 km from Library chowk.

You can take a peaceful walk along with enjoying the greeneries and beautiful nature. This place is open 24 hours but the best time to visit is 7 AM to 10 PM.

Gun Hill Point

Gun Hill Point is located at a distance of 6 km from Library chowk. It will take around 20 minutes to reach there by car.

Gun Hill Point is the most historic and second highest peak of Mussoorie. You can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Himalayan range from Gun Hill point.

You can take the ropeway from Mall road to reach Gun Hill Point. 

Don’t plan to go there in the rainy season as you might not have the proper view due to heavy clouds.

Timings: 10 AM to 6 PM
